The View stuns viewers by explaining how ‘Fire and Fury’ book can actually benefit Trump

The ladies on ABC’s “The View” stunned their liberal audience Friday when they made the case for how Michael Wolff’s explosive tell-all book, “Fire and Fury,” could actually benefit President Donald Trump.

Co-host Joy-less Behar said the book is “like a late Christmas gift,” stressing that the author isn’t backing down in the face of credibility questions. She suggested Wolff did his homework, well, because he said he did.

But co-host Paula Faris noted that there are people who have gone “on record saying he invents or changes quote. He gets some things wrong. ”

She went on to suggest the book “could be arguably the best thing that’s happened for the White House.”

“For all intents and purposes, this was a Steve Bannon book,” Faris said, pointing out that Bannon, who is hated by all sides, authorized most of the interviews used for the book.

She said Bannon was a key figure in many of Trump’s controversial actions, including his remarks after the violence in Charlottesville and the Muslim travel ban.

“This is a clean divorce from a man that’s really vilified, a man that’s hated on many sides,” Faris pointed out.

“You don’t want to be associated with Steven Bannon,” she said. “And you could make a case that the White House is much better without Steve Bannon!”

Leave it to the left’s favorite Republican, noted Trump-basher Ana Navarro, to claim the book is “so credible” and justify Wolff “taking some liberties.”
