At the close of 2017, ISIS has reportedly lost 98 percent of its territory, has seen most of its so-called “caliphate” captured and is down to less than 1,000 fighters and it is all thanks to … Obama?
Despite the stunning numbers revealing the terrorist group’s losses during President Donald Trump’s first year in office and U.S. generals singing their new Commander-in-Chief’s praises, liberals refuse to give credit where it is due.
Marie Harf: “The strategy that has led to a virtual defeat of ISIS in the caliphate…is largely a strategy that was laid out during the #Obama administration by military commanders.” #TheFive https://t.co/2xXlJT1NBy pic.twitter.com/XU6yAqDQV9

Former Obama State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf, now a Fox News political commentator, actually declared that it was former President Obama’s administration that laid the groundwork for the staggering defeat of ISIS and the liberation of the citizens of Iraq and Syria.
“The strategy that has led to a virtual defeat of ISIS in the caliphate…is largely a strategy that was laid out during the Obama administration by military commanders,” Harf said Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “The Five.”
Prizewinner for the most misleading statement of the year. The reality is that had Obama not pulled US forces out of Iraq ISIS would not have risen as it did. https://t.co/vadQSMO6E9

“President Trump has loosened the rules of engagement. He has allowed the military to use more bombs for example and so I think that has helped,” she conceded.

U.S. military officials revealed the figures on Tuesday, noting that 60 percent of the total number of freed civilians were liberated just in 2017, since Trump took office. In addition, the terrorist group’s fighters numbered over 30,000 under Obama’s watch but the isolated members now account for a number around 1,000.
But why let facts and figures ruin the left’s narrative?
“The rules of engagement under the Obama administration were onerous. I mean what are we doing having individual target determination being conducted in the White House, which in some cases adds weeks and weeks,” retired Air Force Lt. Gen. David Deptula, the former head of U.S. Air Force intelligence, told Fox News. “The limitations that were put on actually resulted in greater civilian casualties.”

And if critics are wrong about the years of “onerous” rules as the Obama administration “micromanaged” the war, according to Fox News, then perhaps Harf was on to something in 2015 when she suggested the terrorists join ISIS because of a “lack of opportunity for jobs.”
Marie Harf is such a lying hack. Harf was the same Obama spokesperson who said if we got terrorists jobs, they would stop committing acts of terror. The stupidity is out of this world. https://t.co/2005vKaAeE

The Twitter mockery was as epic for her current praise for Obama as it was when she delivered the line that inspired the #JobsForISIS hashtag.
The strategy may have been created by the Obama administration but they never executed on it. Trump executed on it successfully. That’s the difference between leading from behind (Obama) and leading from the front (Trump). Actions vs. words https://t.co/9tRv5gpMDu

LOLOL…Obama couldn’t even say ISIS. https://t.co/u12wEUXY4b

Even stipulating that the ISIS strategy was ‘laid out’ during Obama admin, no longer micro-managing military action + removing input of ppl like noted military tactician Valerie Jarrett makes a big difference in executionhttps://t.co/PAnVGwve2Y

Except for the straight jacketed rules of engagement and Obama’s micromanaging down to the smallest detail, sure it was just like what Trump did. https://t.co/8RKC8gUewt

Ha and yet somehow obama and his ” generals” were not able to execute the strategy in 8 years? Please. https://t.co/hufG83tPbd

If Fox wants liberals on their panel at least get someone that doesn’t lie-Obama CREATED ISIS by removing US troops and by calling them JV!

Wow. Big surprise. Now Obama, among all people on the planet, is the one who defeated ISIS !! Am I supposed to believe it ??
— HigherIntelligence (@smartaura) December 28, 2017
Correctly Stated: Military commanders always knew how to defeat ISIS. Obama scuttled them by incompetently micromanaging. Trump authorized them to put their strategy into action without second-guessing their every move, and you see the brilliant result. Leadership matters. https://t.co/FWbQBuqfqC
