Sen. Al Franken’s announced resignation over allegations of sexual misconduct has set the stage for the left to target President Donald Trump, who has also faced allegations of inappropriate behavior.

And right on cue, three women were interviewed on live television Monday detailing their experiences with Trump … on “Megyn Kelly Today.”

Given Megyn Kelly’s history with Trump, it was somehow fitting that her show would take the lead in what’s sure to be a cacophony of voices in the coming days rehashing old claims against the president.

The White House was quick to denounce the women’s claims, saying: “The timing and absurdity of these false claims speaks volumes.”

Jessica Leeds, Rachel Cooks and Samantha Holvey discussed their experiences with host Kelly, saying that they were shocked when Trump was elected president after a number of claims of sexual misconduct came up during the campaign.

Holvey noted, “it was heartbreaking.”

“We’re private citizens and for us to put ourselves out there to try and show America who this man is and how he views women, and for them to say ‘Eh, we don’t care,’ it hurt,” she said.

But Holvey believes in today’s environment, it’s worth another try to take Trump down.

“And so now it’s just like all right, let’s try round two,” she stated. “The environment’s different, let’s try again.”

Holvey, who competed in the 2006 Miss America pageant, claimed Trump would walk into dressing room, “looking me over like I was just a piece of meat.”

Leeds claimed Trump groped her on a plane in the 1970s and called her the C-word at a later encounter.

“All of a sudden, he’s all over me. Kissing and groping, groping and kissing,” she said. “Nothing was said … It was just this silent groping going on.”

Crooks, a Trump Tower receptionist, alleged that Trump kissed her on the mouth in 2005 and then asked for her phone number.
