Rule #1 about politics … don’t bring family into it, unless you’re up for a fight.
For the past few months, MSNBC’s Joy Reid has been giving President Trump a run for his money when it comes to eye-popping tweets, but this time she’s ticked-off a fellow liberal.
Reid was all in for Hillary Clinton, but has made it clear that she doesn’t have the same feelings for the man who many believe (if it weren’t for some alleged rigging on behalf of the Clinton campaign) could have squashed Hillary’s presidential dreams in the primaries.
While blasting Bernie Sanders for a very questionable essay he had once written about women, Reid tweeted on Wednesday: “Um… “Um… I get that he has a hardcore following, but his own attitudes toward women, from his weird early writings to his physical dismissal of women in his presence (including his own wife) make that an incredibly dubious prospect.”

Bernie’s wife, Jane Sanders didn’t take kindly to the tweet and called Reid out for not knowing what she’s talking about.

Sanders tweeted: “I didn’t answer your biased reporting about Bernie during the last 2 years @JoyAnnReid. But don’t ever use me to demean my husband. I am very happy & very proud to be Bernie’s wife. Your perception couldn’t be more wrong. Have you ever talked with him? You’ve never spoken w/me.”

Ouch!
For a little background, Reid initially stepped in it with Sanders because she had blamed the current climate of exposed rampant sexual abuses on mostly white men in power position.
The “voice of God” in media and politics has been male (and mostly white) for forever. These men are given not just moral authority but the power to shape the national narrative. We’re watching that authority crumble as we learn how many have used their power to press for sex. https://t.co/jOPgFEMN0l

When someone pointed out Bernie Sanders as an exception, Reid wouldn’t have it.
Perhaps it’s time that Reid addresses her hero Hillary Clinton’s enabling of her serial sexual harasser (and likely worse) husband Bill Clinton.
But we won’t hold our collective breath.
