After Hillary calls for an end to her own investigations, she says Trump’s Russia probe must continue

Failed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton openly questioned whether President Donald Trump was legitimately elected to office.

In an interview with far-left Mother Jones — this is the end result when you lose an election many said was in the bag — Clinton called for an “independent commission” to address questions about the 2016 election.

“I think that there are lots of questions about its legitimacy, and we don’t have a method for contesting that in our system,” she said. “That’s why I’ve long advocated for an independent commission to get to the bottom of what happened.”

And while the rest of the country has grown bored with a Russian narrative that has yet to produce a smoking gun after months of digging, Clinton isn’t ready to put it in mothballs just yet.

“As we learn more about it, we know that the web of connections between people on Trump’s team and Russian representatives just gets more and more dense,” she said.

“Certainly the Trump administration has no interest in finding out the truth,” Clinton continued. “They’re allergic to the truth in a lot of settings, so they’re certainly going to be trying to do everything they can to prevent it from coming out here.”

In addition to “weaponized false information,” Clinton said voter suppression “had a dramatic impact” on the 2016 election in some areas and likely “cost me the election.”

The call for  more probing of the Trump campaign’s alleged connections with Russia comes on the heels of Clinton insisting that appointing a special counsel to investigate her role in the uranium deal with Russia would equate to an abuse of power.

She claimed that it would be “demoralizing” to people at the Justice Department if “political opponents are going to be unfairly, fraudulently investigated.”

(Unless they are political opponents of the Clinton machine, of course.)

Either way, President Trump wasn’t that impressed with Clinton’s latest bellyaching, taking to Twitter Saturday morning he resurrected an oldie but goodie, calling Clinton “Crooked Hillary.”

“Crooked Hillary Clinton is the worst (and biggest) loser of all time. She just can’t stop, which is so good for the Republican Party,” he said. “Hillary, get on with your life and give it another try in three years!
