President Trump loves to mix it up with the “fake news” media, and he triggered them again on Tuesday afternoon with a tweet calling a certain four organizations “fiction writers.”

The four stations, NBC, CBS, ABC, and especially, CNN, have long been known for their left-wing bias, despite the presence of a few token conservatives who occasionally appear on their programming.
Chris Matthews of Fortune writes:
Study after study has shown that the mainstream media leans left, and that, as economists Tim Groseclose and Jeff Milyo have written, “an almost overwhelming fraction of journalists are liberal.” The extent of this bias, of course, depends on what your definitions of liberal and conservative. And the media has other, arguably more important, biases: towards controversy and producing content that is profitable. But it is safe to say that the median journalist in America is to the left of the median American voter, and that this affects how the news is presented to the public.
One thing is indisputable: The U.S. news media’s got a horrible track record. Simply put, the American people don’t trust it. A Harvard-Harris poll, published in May at The Hill, showed that 65 percent of voters believe there is “a lot of fake news” in the mainstream media.
One major outlet, however, was notably left off Trump’s list, and it didn’t escape the notice of the eagle-eyed editors at Mediaite.

And of course, some believe if you break out the H-card (Hitler), you automatically win any argument:
Trump didn't invent the idiom "Fake news." Hitler did.

Meanwhile, Trump supporters want the president to keep the heat on the media.
