Finally! Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to his NFL players: Disrespect the flag and you’re benched!

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been slapped awake by free-market forces.

Jones vowed he will bench any player who disrespects the American flag by not standing during the national anthem. He made the comments following the Cowboys’ 35-31 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

“If there is anything that is disrespectful to the flag then we will not play,” Jones told reporters (via NY Post). “If we are disrespecting the flag, then we won’t play. Period. We’re going to respect the flag.”

Jones, a friend of President Donald Trump, is the first NFL owner to take a public stand against players who refuse to stand for the national anthem.

He continued: “We cannot in the NFL in any way give the implication that we tolerate disrespecting the flag. … There is no question in my mind that the National Football League and the Dallas Cowboys are going to stand up for the flag. Just so we’re clear. Under no circumstances will we as an organization, coaches, players, not support and stand and recognize and honor the flag. Period.”

Two weeks ago, Jones enraged NFL fans by kneeling during the anthem with his team as thunderous boos rained down around them (see video below).

What finally made Jerry Jones decide to bench anti-American football players was probably fan reaction to the unpatriotic protests.

A new poll shows the NFL has plummeted from its position as America’s favorite sport to become its least favorite in the aftermath of the protests. New data also showed that viewership for NFL games has plunged as fans boycotted the league in droves.

Jones — a businessman whose net worth tops $5 billion — knows that in the end, consumers will dictate what football players do. After all, if fans stop buying tickets to games, who’s going to pay the spoiled players’ lavish salaries?

In 2016, Colin Kaepernick — a Black Lives Matter supporter who was lovingly raised by his two adoptive white parents —  hijacked NFL games when he refused to stand for the anthem. He claimed he did it to protest police brutality against black men.

But Colin did nothing when blacks were killed by cops (both black and white) during Barack Obama‘s 8-year presidency.

Meanwhile, Kaepernick does not even bother to vote, and says nothing about the countless black-on-black murders that occur every day across the United States.

Every weekend, there are numerous shootings/murders in Chicago, the hometown of Obama — the nation’s first African-American president. Almost all are black-on-black crimes.

Why does Kaepernick and Black Lives Matter not protest these senseless murders? Do black lives (not) matter when other blacks take them?
