You haven’t been paying attention if you’re surprised that the left is injecting race into President Donald Trump withdrawing a White House invitation to Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry.
The president took to social media Saturday to respond to the NBA player saying he wasn’t too keen on participating in the time-honored tradition of visiting the White House.
“Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team,” the president tweeted. “Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!”

Right on cue, first-rate liberal water carrier Newsweek made Trump’s decision about race, comparing Curry, an African-American, with a very white Tom Brady.
“Donald Trump slams Stephen Curry but not Tom Brady for skipping White House visit,” the liberal weekly magazine declared.

The desired effect of casting Trump as a racist was quickly achieved on social media, with Newsweek noting that Brady skipped the White House visit “but Trump did not comment on Brady’s decision.”
Newsweek’s Janissa Delzo did say the New England Patriots star quarterback cited “personal family matters,” but she did not expand on that to include that his mother was battling cancer.
ESPN’s Jemele Hill threatens that Trump will make more players protest; Americans say ‘BRING IT!’
But integrity takes a backseat to advancing a popular liberal narrative readily accepted in American pop culture.
Social media users ripped Newsweek a new one, not that it will matter. The biased media in America has already proven that they are going to ride their chosen horse into the ground, come what may.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
Tom Brady's mother was going through cancer treatment at the time. You should try reading some news sometime… https://t.co/Lrk6FEOuvh

"I can't come bc mom is sick."
"I may not come bc I'm deciding how much I despise you."
Yup, just alike. https://t.co/GrFxUNXtVs— Renna (@RennaW) September 24, 2017
