If you’re going to run with the big dogs…
Much ado is being made over footage of an “elderly woman” being “trampled” by police during a protest Friday in St. Louis.

The Gateway to the West continues to be rocked by civil rights protests over Friday’s acquittal of Jason Stockley, the former St. Louis police officer who fatally shot a black man in 2011 following a high-speed vehicle pursuit after a drug-related traffic stop.

The protests started out peaceful, but soon turned violent with numerous police officers being injured and the mayor’s home vandalized.

Footage captured black-suited riot cops carrying shields moving in unison to clear the street when a woman wearing a red blouse and a white skirt stands her ground in front of the approaching line of officers, who do not yield.
The woman is seen stumbling backwards after coming in contact with the riot police, until she falls to the ground.

Other black-clad protesters charge the line to help her and police react aggressively to protect the integrity of their perimeter, with several officers seen stepping over the woman — see “trampling” — to engage with the protesters, who began throwing objects at the cops.
And while the liberal media will be quick to vilify police over the incident, the woman did not appear to be seriously injured, other than a possible scrape or bruise — at least not until contacted by a skilled trial lawyer.
Here’s another angle of the incident that captures the sheer pandemonium police are up against in the streets:
A scrape or two is the risk one takes when choosing to obstruct justice by physically defying police.
…who are seen below assisting the woman who was not quite as brave as she was a moment earlier.
On the other hand, given the hyper-sensitivity in post-Obama America, had the cops yielded to the defiant “elderly woman,” they’d likely be accused of age discrimination!
What are your thoughts? Did police under siege by a violent mob overreact, or did the woman get what she had coming by placing herself at the epicenter of mob violence?
