‘Gutless’ Gutierrez goes ANOTHER round with Gen John Kelly

The battle of words between Illinois Rep. Luis Gutierrez and Gen. John Kelly continued as the Democratic lawmaker fired back at the White House chief of staff.

Gutierrez slammed Trump’s top aide as being “mean” for not standing up to President Trump and his decision to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals  program which could mean the deportation of thousands of immigrants known as “Dreamers.”

The retired four-star Marine general is “a politician, OK, not a general,” the Democrat told a Washington Post moderator Tuesday at a Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute event.

Gutierrez unloaded personal insults at Kelly last week, calling him a “disgrace to the uniform” and a “hypocrite” for siding with “white supremacists enabling the president’s actions” on DACA.

Kelly responded to the “irresponsible” congressman, saying “empty barrels make the most noise.”

But Gutiérrez saw nothing wrong with his insults and doubled down on his attacks on Kelly.

“He’s a politician, okay, not a general. I don’t see a uniform. He’s a politician who works for Donald Trump,” Gutiérrez told the crowd at the event Tuesday. “A politician who didn’t stand up when the president of the United States attacked a real war hero, John McCain.”

He was referring to then-candidate Trump who , when speaking of Vietnam War veteran Sen. John McCain last year, said, “I like people who weren’t captured.”

“What could be more mean and more vicious than to say ‘you’ve got six months to pack up…and leave the United States’?” Gutierrez asked of Kelly, who served for decades and lost a son in Afghanistan.

Twitter users blasted the Democrat -again- for his disrespect.
