NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick blames racism for his continued unemployment.

And the NAACP, leftist celebrities, and 100 black NYPD officers are rallying to get this “oppressed” multi-millionaire a job. Moreover, they’re calling for a boycott of the NFL until Kaepernick gets signed.

Director Spike Lee tweeted an announcement for a forthcoming rally outside the NFL headquarters in New York.

The rally, which is scheduled for August 23, is to protest what race-baiting moonbats consider the NFL’s blackballing of Kaepernick.

In true Hollywood fashion, Spike Lee merely paid lip service to social justice, noting that he doesn’t have time to attend the rally himself. And Lee is so supportive of his African-American brutha that he misspelled his pal’s last name as “Kapernick.”

Kaepernick — a supporter of the militant anti-white, anti-police Black Lives Matter movement — has struggled to get signed to another lucrative NFL contract after opting out of his 6-year, $114 million contract with the 49ers in March 2017. Kaepernick was a dismal performer with the 49ers who no doubt would have been released based on poor performance had he not opted out.

Before leaving the 49ers, Colin fueled months of controversy and headlines by refusing to stand for the American national anthem at football games. Kaepernick claimed he disrespected the national anthem to protest police brutality against blacks.

Kaepernick started to become more political after he began dating his current girlfriend, radio host Nessa Diab, who is Muslim. Like most hypocritical libs who are all-talk, no-action, Colin did not even vote in the 2016 presidential election.

Race-baiting leftist grievance mongers blame racism in the NFL for Colin’s unemployment. It bears noting that no group has created more black millionaires than the NFL.

Sports journalist Jason Whitlock, co-host of Fox Sports 1, told Fox News host Laura Ingraham Kaepernick is unemployed because he’s a mediocre quarterback. Race has nothing to do with it.

“Listen, this is simply a case of a guy who’s not good enough,” Whitlock said. “His talents aren’t good enough to justify all the attention and noise and controversy. Tim Tebow [who’s white] ran into this exact same issue.”

Whitlock said a terrible trend he has recently witnessed is the invasion of leftist politics into the NFL and other sports that is turning viewers off. Most people watch sports to have fun and get away from divisive politics.

“This invasion of progressive idealogy into the National Football League and sports. This is starting to smell like a shakedown,” Whitlock said. “This false narrative, that Colin Kaepernick is out of the league because all the owners are racist, that he’s being blackballed.”

Whitlock continued: “This is like the Tawana Brawley of football, this false narrative that we have all these racists [in the NFL].”

Tawana Brawley gained notoriety in 1987 for falsely accusing four white men of gang-raping her. She was found in a trash bag with racial slurs scrawled on her body. Her accusations angered many in the black community and ignited a race war led by race-baiting clown Reverend Al Sharpton.

A grand jury concluded there was no evidence to support Brawley’s accusations. The falsely-accused white men later successfully sued Brawley and her lawyers for defamation.

Laura Ingraham said this constant race-baiting by the left has to stop because it’s borderline insanity now.

“What isn’t racist today?” Ingraham asked. “When they start saying that Alan Dershowitz is racist, which Maxine Waters has said.” Dershowitz, a Harvard Law professor, is a longtime ultra-liberal who voted for Hillary Clinton.

Here’s how insane today’s left has gotten: Corrupt Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters recently accused HUD secretary Dr. Ben Carson (who’s black) of being in cahoots with white supremacists. Let that sink in.

Meanwhile, Dr. Carson’s home was recently vandalized by anti-Trump leftists, and CNN responded by suggesting he’s lying and demanding a fact check.
