Oops. Scaramucci unwisely compares Linda Tripp to the reporter he blabbed to

While not as entertaining as the creative pseudonym “Deep Throat,” former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci made a titillating comparison about New Yorker reporter Ryan Lizza.

…one that draws from the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Lizza published an expletive-laden interview with Scaramucci, who initiated the call, which would result in the Trump aide’s resignation after just 10 days on the job — not only did Scaramuuci rip then-White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, but he made a vulgar remark about chief strategist Steve Bannon.

For what it’s worth, Lizza asserts that their conversation, which he recorded, was not off-the-record, according to The Washington Examiner.

Scaramucci took to social media Wednesday to say Lizza is “the Linda Tripp of 2017.”

Tripp being the Lewinsky confidante who recorded the telephone calls of the former White House intern describing her intimate relationship with President Bill Clinton.

“Ryan Lizza is the Linda Tripp of 2017,” Scarmucci posted. “People know. And he is up at night not being able to live with himself.”

When asked online if he was accusing Lizza of taping the call without his permission, Scaramucci, who would include the hashtag #lowlife, replied:

His initial tweet made for some entertaining times online, proving that Scaramucci did not think his analogy all the way through.
