These ladies smelled a rat, and weren’t afraid to make him pay — literally.
Or at least, that’s what they claim.
A blind date that didn’t just go wrong, but went wrong over and over again took the internet by storm as the unbelievable night unfolded on Twitter. The “date” began innocently enough when a woman, Lisette Pylant, met at a bar for a blind date set up by friends.
And now the fiasco is getting covered all over the internet.
Thread alert: so I go on what I think might be a date with a guy my friends set me up on on my birthday (yes it's a bit hazy).
— Lisette Pylant (@LisettePylant) August 7, 2017
So 45 mins in his next date shows up because he double books himslef and he decides he's going to friendzone me to get out of the situation
— Lisette Pylant (@LisettePylant) August 7, 2017
Apparently, the guy wasn’t wasting any time and had a backup date already lined up when he quickly demoted Pylant to the “friendzone.” Since, Pylant wasn’t at all interested in the first place, there was no reason to be get mad – just even.
Pylant claimed to play the “friend” and went along with the ruse for a while until the guy stepped away. That’s when Pylant let date No. 2 in on the alleged scam.
We’ll call this girl katie – katie gets in on my quest to make this guy feel like the fucjboy he clearly is and we chat for 30 mins
— Lisette Pylant (@LisettePylant) August 7, 2017
But that’s only the beginning as Pylant’s Twitter thread would report. It didn’t take long before date No. 3 strolled in.
The two girls and I have now gotten both bartenders and the bouncer in on this and are taking this guy for all he’s worth over here
— Lisette Pylant (@LisettePylant) August 7, 2017
Pylant said the girls had a little fun at the mystery man’s expense and recruited Date No. 3 into their new “tribe” before leaving the desperado high and dry with the bill.
The end
— Lisette Pylant (@LisettePylant) August 7, 2017
Only it wasn’t “the end” and is just part of the reason this story has been making national news. Pylant’s bartender friend apparently texted the girls to inform them that the man stuck around to be meet … you guessed it… DATE NO. 4!
JK ITS NOT OVER! The bartender just texted us to tell us homeboy is on another date so I sent my friend over to retrieve his 8pm date

We’re now all hanging out at another bar together pic.twitter.com/jasDbaDQCL
— Lisette Pylant (@LisettePylant) August 8, 2017
In an almost unbelievable twist to an already incredible story Pylant claimed her new bestie accidentally intercepted DATE NO. 5 on the way to rescue Date No. 4.
Naturally, they had some more fun at his expense.
You guys girl number FIVE just showed up BEFORE going to meet him because my friends intercepted her and told her not to waste her time

MRS. STEAL YOUR GIRL OVER HERE pic.twitter.com/27rY4QJ1EF
— Lisette Pylant (@LisettePylant) August 8, 2017
That’s when the mystery man, who knew the jig was up, apparently reached out to Pylant saying after all of that, she was the one he would still like to get to know.
Ha. Fat chance, pal.
He even claimed his speed dating was actually a screening process he had concocted in the name of efficiency.
His excuses did nothing to sway Pylant.
HE TOLD DATE NUMBER 5 THAT SHE WAS ALREADY CUT AND TO SAY HI TO ME AT THE BAR WHEN SHE I VITED HIM TO COME DRINK WITH US

You win some, you lose some – but hopefully you make three new best friends in the process ? cheers ladies ?? don’t fuck with us pic.twitter.com/lxQ3f6Km2P

Finally, after having a blast and meeting a whole bunch of new friends with great sense of humors, the ladies night came to a close after recruiting … DATE NO. 6!!!
He finally realized he wasn’t winning and just walked out. #6 and her mom and aunt are now our new best friends
— Lisette Pylant (@LisettePylant) August 8, 2017
Pylant’s story has become a social media sensation and Twitter couldn’t get enough. Some said it could be a script for a movie, and Twitter picked it up as one of their “moments” features:
Meet @LisettePylant and her crew, your new bad date heroes. https://t.co/AQFVU2Ag0f
— Twitter Moments (@TwitterMoments) August 8, 2017
Others, championed the young women for not outing the identity of the male offender. But, no one seemed to challenge the authenticity of the hard-to-follow story.
Perhaps because, either way, it made for compelling live-stream entertainment. And the young ladies had an absolute blast:
currently buying @LisettePylant new found tribe shots! Fuck fuccbois! pic.twitter.com/15H3VgX9Fl
