And now, even watermelons can be politically incorrect.
In honor of National Watermelon Day, the Times of London tweeted a photo to get in on the fun.
Unfortunately, the Times chose the wrong picture to promote the day. The image shows the hand of a white woman holding up a piece of watermelon while a black woman in the photo appears to be wearing the fruit as a dress.
If you don’t fancy eating watermelon today, you could always try wearing one instead? ? #NationalWatermelonDay https://t.co/oBBIWevtX7 pic.twitter.com/cJn7pT93xF

I don’t think it’s racist, just a stupid move on behalf of the Times since it’s an American celebration AND an American stereotype.
— SilverAgatka (@SilverAgatka) August 3, 2017
It’s not an American celebration. It’s a trending hashtag

? My employer was having a staff watermelon eating contest, but an SJW decided it was racist, so it was canceled ? #NationalWatermelonDay pic.twitter.com/JQIVcBDT5r
