American Legion boys group goes wild over Trump’s playful dig at ‘fake news’

While much of the political class takes exception with President Donald Trump, to include the media, many young Americans seem to have a whole different take.

Following last week’s speech at the Boy Scouts of America’s National Jamboree, the president welcomed the American Legion Boys Nation and Auxiliary Girls Nation to the White House this week, according to The Washington Free Beacon.

Trump posed for photos with both groups and after taking a photo with the boys group, the president told them he’d be returning soon to make his televised remarks, The Free Beacon noted.

“We’ll say a few words in a little while,” he said. “I just want to tell you before all the press comes.”

“Fake news,” he added, putting his hand to the side of his mouth as if letting them in on a secret.

The boys erupted into loud, raucous laughter before cheering the slight — to include a few raised arms.

Trump turned around with a big grin on his face, truly enjoying the moment.
