President Trump’s promise to rid U.S. of dangerous MS-13 gangs already paying off in New York

New York is winning thanks to President Trump – and no thanks to smug liberals in the Empire State who have been outspoken critics of the president and his agenda.

Trump is making good on a promise to rid the state of violent MS-13 gangs as nearly 40 people accused of being gang members were rounded up in the last 30 days, the New York post reported.

A new task force named “Operation Matador” was created in May following a Long Island visit by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to address the rise of MS-13 gangs in New York’s suburbs. With the task force in place, authorities on Wednesday announced a string of arrests in the New York area.

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security made 45 gang arrests in the last month with 39 of those being affiliated with MS-13, blamed for a number of recent murders in Long Island. According to federal authorities, any of those arrested but not charged with crimes will be processed for deportation.

According to the New York Post:

MS-13 members are known for tattooing their bodies in devil horns — a trend that is helping law enforcement properly ID them for arrest and deportation.

Twelve of the reputed MS-13 gang members arrested over the past 30 days crossed the border as unaccompanied minors, the feds said. Now, all are considered illegal immigrants.

Three of those rounded up recently had Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, an immigration classification available to certain undocumented minors who have been abused, neglected or abandoned by their parents, the feds said.

MS-13, known for drug trafficking, kidnapping, human smuggling, murder and sex trafficking, was labeled a “transnational criminal organization” by the Treasury Department in 2012.

President Trump had vowed to rid New York of the gang, which follows a code of conduct that allows beating members who break its rules and a “green light” to kill any government cooperators.

Attorney General Sessions called MS-13 “one of the most violent gangs in the history of our country,” according to the Post and suggested that under the Trump administration, the gangs could be labeled a terrorist organization.
