It seems the haters are green with envy…
Following a number of well timed, flattering articles about Ivanka Trump, there’s a cynical movement afoot suggesting the first daughter may be a White House leaker.
The “puff pieces” include articles by CNN and Politico that came just as President Donald Trump announced the United States will withdraw from the Paris climate accord — Ivanka reportedly opposed the move.
For some, stories of this nature have become unappetizing, as characterized in the following tweets:
I'm going to get so sick of this story genre. https://t.co/4UkKLJ3Ueu

Imagine if we protected the climate the way the press looks after Ivanka Trump's ego.

It’s all enough to send the critics over the edge. At least far enough to suggest that Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, are the “anonymous sources” often cited in the puff pieces.
The reaction proves that Trump Derangement Syndrome trumps Bush Derangement Syndrome in that the entire Trump family has become fair game.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:

From the way this first sentence is constructed, I'd put money on Ivanka being a source for Politico. https://t.co/Om9nrRdPD9

I always see it like that old slasher movie. “The leaks are coming from inside the house.”

Seems obvious that Jared & Ivanka are key WH sources and that some reporters compete to flatter them by portraying them in a friendly light. https://t.co/uN0Jax9VIH

@NateSilver538 hypothesizes Ivanka and/or Jared are possible leak sources and the media is trying to keep them flattered to keep the tap on

CNN: "Ivanka is THE most powerful Jewish woman willing to leak to us in exchange for puff pieces."

Ivanka and Jared's desire to use the press to send signals to their NY friends is really pitiful. You work in the White House, act like it https://t.co/bkSMpWcWjR

I’ll take “Ivanka’s The Source” for $500.
