Haters won’t relent after Trump explains why he’s been avoiding return to New York City

President Donald Trump has received more than his share of criticism for his frequent visits to Mar-a-Lago, his Palm Beach, Florida resort.

And yet, while the president also owns Trump Tower in New York City, he has yet to visit there during his presidency.

It’s obvious to any but those simply looking to criticize that the people’s work can get done anywhere, even on a golf course negotiating with a senator or a world leader, but as far as Trump’s visits to his own residences are concerned, why one and not the other?

Turns out, President Trump’s reasoning has a lot more to do with consideration for others than his enemies would ever give him credit for. In an interview with Fox News on Friday, Trump said he feels “guilty” because when he goes to Trump Tower (he went there a lot as president-elect) because his presence causes authorities to close nearby streets.

“I hate to see the New Yorkers with streets closed,” Trump said.

By going to his Florida club instead, he has “hundreds of acres” to roam without Secret Service having to close any streets.

As far as the accusations of the president playing golf or otherwise “having fun” at his clubs, Trump insists he is always working. After all, is a deal any less of a deal because it was negotiated on a golf course?

Good luck getting a liberal to give Trump ANY credit for caring about others though.

According to the New York Post, Trump will be visiting New York City on Thursday.
