A convicted felon who tortured and viciously murdered a 62-year-old man says prison life is really hard, and you should feel sorry for her.
Donna Hylton served 27 years in jail for kidnapping, beating, burning and sodomizing Long Island real-estate broker Thomas Vigliarolo with a steel pole before slowly torturing him to death with six of her thug pals.
Since being released from jail, Hylton has become a leftist hero who advocates for prisoners rights, Black Lives Matter, and women’s issues. A movie is currently being made celebrating her life and “civil rights” activism.
Hylton, 52, recently spoke at Manhattanville College, where she regaled students with sob stories about prison life. “If you were not crying by the time she was done speaking, there’s something wrong with you,” a student told the Daily Caller.

While Hylton talked about how hard prison life was, she never once mentioned the horrific crimes that landed her there. Instead, Donna blamed the “racist” justice system for punishing her because she’s black (her victim was white):
She made it seem like she was some innocent woman who was put in jail. She didn’t say why she was in jail. She said it was because of the color of her skin. Her basic theme was, ‘I am an innocent victim and it’s because of how awful Donald Trump is.’
In 1985, Hylton — along with three women and three men — kidnapped Thomas Vigliarolo and held him for ransom for 15 to 20 days before torturing him to death. During that time, Hylton and her pals starved, burned and beat Vigliarolo. They also repeatedly sodomized him with a 3-foot steel pole.
According to a Psychology Today article, when asked why they sodomized him with the pole, one of Hylton’s accomplices flippantly quipped: “He was a homo anyway.”
New York City detective William Spurling was horrified when he learned details of the torture and how remorseless Hylton was:
They’d squeezed the victim’s testicles with a pair of pliers, beat him, burned him. I couldn’t believe this girl who was so intelligent and nice-looking could be so unemotional about what she was telling me she and her friends had done.
Hylton sent a ransom note to one of Vigliarolo’s friends demanding $435,000 even though he was already dead by that time. The ransom note eventually led to her arrest.
Despite her horrific crimes, Donna Hylton is now hailed as a leftist hero and civil rights champion. She was invited to speak at the Women’s March in Washington to protest Donald Trump‘s presidency, and gets paid to speak at liberal colleges. Even though Hylton tried to convince students at Manhattanville College that SHE was the victim, some weren’t convinced.

“She played the victim card and did not tell the truth from the beginning,” one student said. “More people need to understand the [leftist] indoctrination that is happening on college campuses.”
Many on Twitter echoed these sentiments, saying Donna Hylton is a thug and a murderer, not a hero.
