Obama left major messes for others to clean up. He bound and obligated future presidents and congresses to spend money in perpetuity on expensive programs he created, while he skated free and escaped these costs in his own administration.
In no particular order, let’s look at the destruction.
Start with Islamic terrorism. Obama’s administration propelled ISIS to the status of an international terrorist network, by pulling out American troops in the Middle East and creating a power vacuum that was readily filled by ISIS. This cancer took birth and grew under Obama.

Obama reduced America’s stature in the world by bowing subserviently to leaders of other countries and insulting nations who stood with us through bad times, like Britain, Australia and Israel. In Obama’s mind, America “is merely one nation among many others”, and should
not be “promoting its democratic values”. When he took office, the Middle East wars were already won, and all that was needed was to maintain a military presence to allow the new governments in Afghanistan and Iraq to take root. But no, Obama’s actions inspired Islamists, undermined the new governments, causing world disorder to spread.
Trump succeeded a president who rewarded America’s enemies—remember giving Iran $150 billion to finance terrorism, and rewarding Palestinian terrorism with a $400M aid package?
Go now to Obamacare and Obama’s long list of broken public promises. His Obamacare sky-high premium increases, high deductibles, and Medicaid costs could bankrupt states before long. The man even stole from Medicare and Fannie Mae to fund the so-called “Affordable Care Act”.
Obama has divided our nation with class warfare, following election promises that he would be a great healer. Instead, he was divisive and a race-baiter—even worse than Woodrow Wilson– who undercut the ability of the nations’ police to do their job.
At nearly $20 trillion, the national debt has never been this high, caused mostly by the Obama Spending Frenzy which also caused America to lose our AAA credit rating. This president spent more money and created more debt than any U.S. president in history, even if you add all their spending together! He didn’t follow budgets, each year his entitlements and federal deficits jacked up the national debt, and he has left Trump with an explosive problem.
Obama was deceptive in his unemployment rate calculations, by counting part-time jobs as full time jobs, and by excluding people who gave up searching for jobs or hadn’t found work within a few months’ time. According to Bernie Sanders’ speeches, “the real unemployment rate is over 9%”. When Obama made income redistribution his top policy over economic growth, he gave us the slowest economic expansion and wage-growth since World War II. Another mess.
He opened the immigration floodgates, and illegal, unvetted immigrants swarmed in to overload America’s social programs, populate gangs in our cities, distribute drugs and commit violence.
Obama not only pardoned traitors, in his zeal to close down Gitmo prison in Cuba he released terrorists back into the civilized world, where many have returned to the battle.
Only days and weeks before Obama left office, he not only issued a flurry of “midnight regulations” through executive orders, he put 89 of his loyalists into cushy federal jobs, to reward their allegiance to him and make it even tougher for Trump to govern.
What we have here are big league messes, par excellence, that deserve a place in memory. In short, Obama “left a more dangerous world” to Trump.
Finally, the next time you read a mainstream media story calling Obama’s administration “scandal-free”, don’t forget Solyndra, the VA, DOJ and IRS scandals, Operation Fast-and- Furious, Benghazi, his Personnel Management hacking breach, private email servers in his State Department, the New Black Panther voter intimidation, and Obama passing his own legislation in violation of constitutional checks and balances.
