Team Trump’s limited edition St Patrick’s Day-themed ‘MAGA’ hats spark major meltdown

Critics are going nuts. Team Trump’s attempt to sell St Patrick’s Day-themed “Make America Great Again” hats failed after a major design error.

The limited edition green version of President Trump’s red hats was advertised for the holiday but sent Twitter users into a meltdown.

Angry backlash erupted on social media when it was discovered that the caps were embroidered with a four-leaf clover, not an Irish shamrock

Some accused the president of having the $50 caps made in China but all of the products on Trump’s clothing website are made in the US, according to the site.

But most Twitter users were focused on the design.

The Irish symbol of the holy trinity and a symbol for the country and its patron saint, Saint Patrick, the shamrock has three leaves. The four-leaf clover, which is pictured on the hats, has no connection to Ireland or St. Patrick’s Day.

The Team Trump post is still posted but the hat is not included on the official Trump apparel page. The GOP Twitter account still has the post up as well.

Though the mistake is a common one, the online frenzy the Trump hat created seemed to have no end.
