How dull and boring can you get?
Fresh out of new ideas, Democrats – the party of “youth and diversity” – are copying Republicans by launching their own version of CPAC.
Last month’s Conservative Political Action Conference received widespread media coverage that spotlighted conservative leaders and the growing grassroots youth movement.
Dems will host their own CPAC on May 16 in Washington at an event blandly entitled the “Ideas Conference,” Politico reported. It’s more than a little telling that Dems would host an “ideas conference” at an event copying that of their political rival.
In stark contrast to what they’ve been doing for the past two months, attendees are urged to bring new proposals to improve the economy, national security, immigration and other ISSUES rather than just launch more stale attacks on President Trump.
“There is only so much space for Trump to occupy peoples’ lives,” one Democratic strategist said. “The Democratic Party cannot exist and will not survive only as a foil to him.”
Confirmed attendees include rising stars Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker. Senator Warren is widely hailed as the successor to Hillary Clinton amid rampant speculation that she will definitely run for president in 2020.
Many liberals on Twitter said the “Ideas Conference” is a great idea.
About effen time…!

But others wondered what took Dems so long, since CPAC has been around since 1973.
I'm somewhat surprised there isn't already a CPAC equivalent on the Left.

Still others wondered why a leftist version of CPAC is needed when libs already have the media, the school system and Hollywood as their echo chambers.
They hav it already. It's called media, education, entertainment. & it's not 3 days in Feb. It's everyday. @scottienhughes

because the Democrats need another echo chamber.

their whole policy is about stealing the fruits of other people's labor. Not surprising at all.
