Pelosi comes up with new slogan to bash GOP Obamacare replacement, clearly didn’t think it through

As congressional Republicans rolled out their Obamacare replacement bill, Nancy Pelosi blasted it as the “Make America Sick Again” plan.

“Tonight, Republicans revealed a Make America Sick Again bill that hands billionaires a massive new tax break while shifting huge costs and burdens onto working families,” the House Minority Leader said in statement.

Mocking President Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan, Pelosi slammed Republicans for proposing the new American Health Care Act that would ultimately mean Americans will “pay more for worse coverage” and push “millions” off health care completely.

“The GOP bill shortens the life of the Medicare Trust Fund and pushes millions of seniors and disabled Americans who depend on Medicaid coverage into the cold,” Pelosi said in the statement.

The California congresswoman urged Republicans, some of whom have criticized the bill as “Obamacare Lite,” not to go forward with a committee vote.

“Republicans have decided that affordable health care should be the privilege of the wealthy, not the right of every family in America,” she added. “The American people deserve to see what Republicans are trying to do to their health care.”

Reaction on Twitter was mixed, with many reminding Pelosi that her warnings had already materialized under former President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
