Disgruntled liberals protest at the drop of a hat these days with no regard to what they leave behind.
Animal activists are heartbroken after rescuing 8 dogs and 6 puppies that were abandoned at the Oceti Sakowin protest camp in Bismarck, North Dakota.
Throngs of “environmental activists” had swarmed the camp for weeks to protest the Dakota Access Pipeline, claiming the oil pipeline would harm the environment.
When the protesters departed, they left behind mountains of pollution and numerous abandoned dogs, who were left to starve and freeze to death. Fortunately, volunteers from the local animal shelter, Furry Friends Rockin Rescue, rescued the helpless animals.
“Extremely sad being these guys were left behind, but Furry Friends offers hope,” volunteer Tiffany Hardy told Fox News West Dakota.
Hardy said two adult dogs she rescued so far showed signs of neglect, as they had frostbitten ears and malnutrition-induced patchy fur.
Julie Schirado said it was hard finding the animals because they were hidden behind the heaps of trash that protesters left behind. “It’s a mess down there, so it’s really, really hard to find these animals,” Schirado said. Volunteers will continue to scour the site to make sure no other dogs were abandoned.
Furry Friends has received an outpouring of support from concerned citizens wanting to adopt the abandoned puppies. You can check out their Facebook page above to help.
Officials are working around the clock to clean up the Dakota Access Pipeline Camp, which was destroyed by pollution, fires, vandalism, human waste and wide-scale littering.
Twitter users were outraged that innocent pets were left behind to die.
& these r the same idiots who protest land & environment is being destroyed? Save the animals & bulldoze the protesters👏

Many pointed out the hypocrisy of “activist protesters” who trash the environment while paying lip service to protecting it.
