President Trump’s pretty proud of his presser ratings, and has an update on the ‘MESS he inherited’

President Donald Trump is finding it a full-time job staying out in front of a media determined to bring his presidency down.

…despite the YUGE ratings he brings them.

Pointing to his predecessor, former President Barack Obama, a man revered by many of those now targeting his administration, Trump insisted that all is well, despite the “mess” he inherited.

Don’t believe the mainstream (fake news) media. The White House is running VERY WELL. I inherited a MESS and am in the process of fixing it,” the president tweeted.

The tweet follows Trump’s drubbing of the media Thursday during an impromptu press conference, where the president also remarked that he inherited a mess while insisting his administration “is running like a fine-tuned machine.”

But that drubbing didn’t stop the onslaught of “fake news, as seen Friday when much of the media ran wild with a false story that Trump was considering sending National Guard troops to round up illegal immigrants.

…even though the White House emphatically declaring that the reports are “not true.”

As for the ratings, Thursday’s 80-minute press conference was a ratings bonanza for the networks, compared to the same time period a week earlier.

“I do get good ratings, you have to admit that,” Trump said.

And how right he was. TVNewser reported that Fox News’s viewership was up by 50 percent; CNN was up 42 percent; and MSNBC was up 21 percent.

The midday news conference was watched by 5.6 million people on the three cable networks combined, with Fox capturing the lion’s share with 3.089 million viewers.
