National Sheriff’s Assoc.’s bold stand on Jeff Sessions confirmation sends libs over the edge

Cue the collective liberal outrage.

The National Sheriffs’ Association boldly applauded the confirmation of U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Thursday.

“The nation’s sheriffs applaud and thank the U.S. Senate for confirming Jeff Sessions as the next U.S. Attorney General,” NSA President Greg Champagne and Executive Director and CEO Jonathan Thompson said in a statement.

“Throughout his career, Attorney General Sessions has shown great integrity and a commitment and loyalty to fairness, equal justice and the rule of law,” the statement continued.  “It’s those attributes and qualities he’ll use daily at the Department of Justice as the chief law enforcement officer of the Federal Government.”

The non-profit organization, which represents more than 3,000 elected sheriffs across the nation, and a total membership of more than 20,000, is also one of the largest associations of law enforcement professionals in the country.

“We look forward to working closely with Mr. Sessions to protect the homeland, secure our borders, fight crime, fund and equip law enforcement and keep our communities and counties safe and drug free,” the statement concluded.
