Actress and vocal former Hillary Clinton supporter Lena Dunham has been losing some weight lately, and she apparently has President Donald Trump to thank.
When the “Girls” star appeared on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show on Monday morning, the shock jock couldn’t help but ask her about her slimmer figure of late.
So, what’s her secret?

“Donald Trump became president and I stopped being able to eat food,” Dunham said. “Everyone’s been asking like, ‘What have you been doing?’ And I’m like, ‘Try soul-crushing pain and devastation and hopelessness and you, too, will lose weight.'”

When asked about her promise to move to Canada if Trump were to win the election, Dunham told Stern that at the time a Trump victory “seemed like an impossible joke.” She told herself that “the most qualified candidate we’ve ever had is running against a steak salesman. We’re going to be fine.”
When Dunham told Stern that Trump called her a “B-list actor with no mojo,” Stern asked if Trump was making a mistake by paying so much attention to celebrities.
“Here’s the funny thing,” she responded. “Of course, it’s a mistake, but we’re talking about him like he’s a person who is operating in a sane way, we’re talking about him like a person who doesn’t have a personality disorder.”
