The Kremlin is demanding that Fox News apologize for Bill O’Reilly characterizing Russian President Vladimir Putin as “a killer.”
O’Reilly leveled the charge during his Super Bowl interview with President Donald Trump, after the president said he respected Putin.
Trump raised more than a few eyebrows with his response, which shifted the focus back on the United States.

“There are a lot of killers,” he said. “You’ve got a lot of killers. What, do you think our country’s so innocent?”

Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not comment on Trump’s reply, but he called O’Reilly’s remarks “unacceptable and offensive.” according to the New York Post.
“We consider such words from the Fox TV company to be unacceptable and insulting, and honestly speaking, we would prefer to get an apology from such a respected TV company,” Peskov told reporters on a conference call.

Fox News and O’Reilly have not responded to Peskov’s comments as of this writing.
