Trump keeps promise of extreme vetting, launching libs like Pelosi into fits

President Donald Trump is doing exactly what he promised he would do to protect Americans and it has sent liberals into another desperate meltdown.

The president signed a new executive order on Friday which allows “extreme vetting” of refugees in an effort to keep foreign terrorists out of the U.S.

The order bans certain Syrian refugees indefinitely, suspends refugee admissions for 120 days and halts the issuing of visas for several Muslim countries.

Congressional Democrats lashed out at Trump in statements condemning the measures as being contrary to American values.

“Tears are running down the cheeks of the Statue of Liberty tonight as a grand tradition of America, welcoming immigrants, that has existed since America was founded, has been stomped upon,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said in a statement Friday.

Other Democratic drama queens followed suit with statements of their own, invoking the Statue of Liberty and their ideas of American obligations to the world.

“As the Statue of Liberty holds her torch of welcome high, there are tears in her eyes as she sees how low this Administration has stooped in its callousness toward mothers and children escaping war-torn Syria,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement.

California Rep. Ted Lieu called the order “offensive and a monumental waste of federal resources.”

“The chances of being struck by lightning TWICE is 1 in 9 million. The chances of being killed by a refugee committing a terrorist act is 1 in 3.6 billion. These facts lead me to conclude that Trump’s action is not based on national security, it is based on bigotry. Lady Liberty is crying,” Lieu added in his statement.

Some, like Illinois Senator Dick Durbin and Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin,  blasted the president for his timing as the order was issued on Holocaust Remembrance Day.

After signing the order which seeks to increase national security, Trump addressed the kind of immigrants who would and would not be welcome.

“I’m establishing new vetting measures to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America. We don’t want them here,” Trump told the audience. “We only want to admit those into our country who will support our country and love deeply our people.”

It seems Democratic lawmakers may have mistaken America’s founding principles to include leaving its doors wide open for anyone leaving their homeland, regardless of intent.
