Obama’s family dog bites guest in the face, draws blood – and she’s not too happy about it

Maybe the stress of moving out of the White House was too much for Sunny, the Obama family’s pet dog.

A friend of Malia Obama was bitten in the face Monday by Sunny, the younger of the first family’s two Portuguese Water Dogs. The 18 year-old girl, a family friend, was visiting at the White House when she bent down to pet the dog which bit her on the right cheek, TMZ reported.

The teen posted pictures of the gash below her right eye on social media as the Obamas’ family physician, Dr. Ronny Jackson, checked her out, according to TMZ. A caption on one of the photos read “I f***ing hate Sunny.”

In another photo posted to Snapchat, the girl commented “Malia thinks it’s funny.”

The doctor concluded the young girl needed stitches and she would likely end up with a small scar, which reportedly upset the teen.

The Obamas have two Portuguese Water Dogs, a breed that is usually not aggressive. Bo, the 8 year-old dog, is the official “First Dog.”

The White House shared video in 2013 of Sunny’s puppy antics when she just joined the first family.
