If you ever get the chance to ask him about his game, Donald Trump will tell you he’s a solid golfer, and it would be smart to believe him.
After all, the man does own 17 golf courses around the world, including Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the President-elect hit the links on December 23 with the single American most qualified to accurately analyze his golf game – Tiger Woods.

On Thursday, Tiger blogged about several things going on in his life, including his charitable foundation, his slow but steady comeback to competitive golf, and his time playing with our future president:
I recently played with President-elect Donald Trump. What most impressed me was how far he hits the ball at 70 years old. He takes a pretty good lash.
Our discussion topics were wide-ranging; it was fun. We both enjoyed the bantering, bickering and needling. I also shared my vision for golf and what I’m trying to do.

If they had played an actual match, would Trump have given Tiger a run for his money? Probably not, although Trump claims to hold the amateur record of six-under-par 66 on Trump International, an excellent score. With Tiger down on his game lately, it might have been closer than you think!
Gary Wiren, the senior director of instruction for all of Trump’s courses, wrote of Trump’s ability, “The lowest amateur round at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., isn’t held by some hotshot with a seven-figure trust fund, but by the course’s 64-year-old owner a smooth 66 from the gold tees at a length of 6,900 yards. Yep, Donald Trump is that good…”
