Trump makes Hillary EAT her own words after defeated, demoralized Dems join recount scam

President-elect Donald Trump slammed Democrats’ support Saturday of the presidential election recount efforts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

He observed that the effort, which he called a “scam” that was initiated by Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein, has since been taken up by Democrats licking their wounds after the November 8 election.

Trump posted his tweet within hours of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign announcement that it would participate in the recount effort.

And early Sunday Trump continued his thought with a tweetstorm aimed directly at former Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton.

Trump previously released a statement calling the recount “a scam” after Clinton had already conceded the election.

“This is a scam by the Green Party for an election that has already been conceded, and the results of this election should be respected instead of being challenged and abused, which is exactly what (Green Party leader) Jill Stein is doing,” Trump’s statement said.

“This recount is just a way for Jill Stein, who received less than one percent of the vote overall and wasn’t even on the ballot in many states, to fill her coffers with money, most of which she will never even spend on this ridiculous recount,” he added.

Stein asked for and received millions in donations for her recount effort, and she later confessed to CNN that there was no smoking gun leading her to believe that the election was rigged or stolen in any way.

Clinton campaign counsel Marc Elias concurred that while there was no such evidence, said that “now that a recount is underway, we believe we have an obligation to the more than 64 million Americans who cast ballots for Hillary Clinton to participate in ongoing proceedings to ensure that an accurate vote count will be reported.”
