Arrogant Oxford students, still underestimating Trump, burst out laughing at Corey Lewandowski

He who laughs last, laughs best.

At this stage of the game, one might think his detractors would stop underestimating Donald Trump, considering he is now referred to a President-elect Trump.

But then, the arrogance of the left knows no bounds.

Former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski spoke at Oxford University in England this week and, for better or worse, took questions from the audience afterward.

In the mother of all loaded questions, a woman asked Lewandowski about his support for Trump after pointing to “the white nationalist [Steve] Bannon of Breitbart News” as a prospective member of Trump’s White House staff.

“How do you have so little self-respect that you can stand here and defend a candidate who’s not only a bigot but a liar who doesn’t have the courtesy to follow through?” she asked.

Given what was dumped in his lap, Lewandowski handled the query as well as can be expected.

“Well, the good news is I’m seated doing that, so I don’t have to stand, so I appreciate that,” he said. “But here’s what it comes down to: Mexico will pay for the wall, and it’s very simple.”

At this point, the hall erupted in laughter and applause.

“You can believe it, you can not believe it,” Lewandowski responded, secure in the knowledge that recent history is on his side.

As for paying for the wall, Trump has floated the idea of taxing the flow of billions of dollars in payments that immigrants send home to Mexico, a stream of cash vital to that country’s economy.
