The Legoland theme park and hotel in Florida were evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a bomb threat on the property.

The Winter Haven resort and theme park announced it had evacuated guests and employees from its properties due to the discovery of a bomb threat. Police were investigating and the park was reportedly going to remain closed for the rest of the day.

The threat was made at the property and reported at 11:54 a.m. on Thursday, according to Winter Haven police, WFTS-TV reported.  All guests reportedly were safely evacuated by 12:43 p.m.

Legoland released a statement to WFTS that said:

Earlier today a bomb threat was discovered on our property. We have evacuated the theme park and hotel for the safety and security of our guests and employees – which remains our #1 priority. We are working closely with Winter Haven PD to assess the validity of the threat.

The 150-acre interactive theme park is located in central Florida, 45 minutes from Orlando and Tampa.
