Heated game of back and forth after Hillary accuses Trump of choking

It was a choking match of sorts between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

After the Democratic presidential nominee said Trump “did choke” in his visit with the Mexican president, Trump slammed back, calling Clinton the one who chokes.

“I don’t choke, she chokes,’ he said in an interview with ABC News on Monday.

“She’s responsible for so many bad things that have happened to our country, including the signing by her husband of NAFTA, which has drained our country of its jobs,” Trump said.

The Republican presidential nominee’s trip to Mexico last week created a “diplomatic incident” Clinton told ABC, referring to Trump’s comments that he and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto had not discussed who would fund the border wall between the two countries.  Nieto contradicted the comments saying the two did have a discussion and he told Trump his country wouldn’t pay for the wall.

“He came out saying one thing and the Mexican president contradicted him almost immediately,” Clinton said. “He didn’t raise it, so he did choke.”

Apparently, all the talk of choking did not refer to Clinton’s hacking cough that plagued her campaign stop in Cleveland, Ohio on Monday and her attempt to answer questions from the press aboard her plane later.
