Dem Senator embarrasses himself trying to attack Trump over THAT ‘C’ word

With the “C” word being tossed about so freely in regard to Hillary Clinton, it was only a matter of time before someone tripped themselves up.

And that honor goes to U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., who seemed to be confused over who said what.

The issue at hand is the realization that as secretary of state, Hillary Clinton didn’t know that the “C” on her emails stood for “confidential” — what “C-word” did you think? — with the FBI saying she “could only speculate it was referencing paragraphs marked in alphabetical order.”

Republican rival Donald Trump took to his now-familiar social media platform to ask how this is even possible, but in doing so, he used the term “classified” instead of confidential:

And this is where Murphy came into play, excoriating Trump for confusing the two terms… while giving his party’s nominee, who was America’s top diplomat at the time, a complete pass for not even knowing what the “C” stood for:
