Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence told NBC News in an interview to be aired Sunday that he will release his tax returns next week, and that Donald Trump will do likewise at a later date.
“Donald Trump and I are both going to release our tax returns,” the Indiana governor told “Meet the Press” host and NBC News political director Chuck Todd.

“I’ll release mine in the next week; Donald Trump will be releasing his at the completion of an audit,” Pence added.
Todd questioned Pence on the tax returns in response to the governor’s observation that Hillary Clinton has been less than transparent on the issue of her emails while serving as secretary of state.
When asked if the audit would be completed before the election, Pence replied, “We’ll see.”
