MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski is “frightened” by Donald Trump.
Well, not necessarily the man, but his words… words that the GOP nominee used to reference the vast political influence of the National Rifle Association.
Or, from the point of view of hyperventilating liberals, of which Mika is now the poster-child, his call for the assassination of Hillary Clinton.
Brzezinski was reacting to House Speaker Paul Ryan‘s refusal to disavow Trump’s comment that Second Amendment supporters can possibly stop rival Hillary Clinton when co-host Joe Scarborough chimed in that the GOP is “letting Donald Trump destroy the party.”
Scarborough suggested his opinion carries more weigh because he is a Republican.
“It’s not as if I’m saying what I’m saying for partisan reasons,” Brzezinski replied. “I’m actually frightened right now, and I can’t believe that there are leaders that are allowing this.”
She insisted that Republican leaders are “doing the wrong thing by supporting this candidate.”
“You’re hurting this country for your political benefit and you’re making the wrong play, even in terms of your political benefit,” Brzezinski continued. “I’m sorry that I’m a Democrat and it means nothing coming from me, but I’m telling you, that’s how this story ends and someone’s going to get hurt.”
