A lesser man may have slugged the jerk.
Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke destroyed CNN host Don Lemon Sunday night over the controversial Black Livers Matter movement and the murders of police officers that has sprung from it.
Things got off to a bad start when Lemon said that the message from police brass after three Baton Rouge officers were killed was one of “peace.”
“You don’t believe that for one minute, do you,” Clarke said.
Then Lemon asked the sheriff for his own message in response to the shootings.
“My message has been clear from day one two years ago. This anti-cop sentiment from this hateful ideology called Black Lives Matter has fueled this rage against the American police officer. I predicted this two years ago,” Clarke told Lemon.
“With all due respect, do you know that this was because of that?” the CNN host asked.
“Yes I do,” the sheriff shot back. “I’ve been watching this for two years. I predicted this. This anti-police rhetoric sweeping the country has turned out some hateful things inside of people that are now playing themselves out on the American police officer.”
Later into the interview, Lemon asked Clarke to “.”
“Three dead cops this week and I’m looking at five dead last week and you’re trying to tell me to ‘keep it down?'”
