Reports of a dozen GOP delegates stricken with nasty bug, ‘no handshake’ policy underway

It turns out there are no “safe spaces” for Republicans in Cleveland.

Outside the GOP convention, RNC-goers are met with protesters, and inside, there is tension between energized pro and anti-Trump factions.

Perhaps all the stress is making attendees sick? Literally.

There have been several reports that a nasty bug, known as the Norovirus, is making it rounds through California delegates staying in Sandusky, Ohio.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Norovirus is very contagious and can infect anyone. It results in gastrointestinal and stomach inflammation leading to pain, nausea, and well, all of the things that go along with that.

Basically, for healthy adults, it’s nothing a little couch time and eventually, chicken soup, can’t remedy.

But what a bummer for those who traveled all that way to battle it out at the biggest scene happening in the country right now. Apparently, the virus spread so quickly; it has resulted in numerous hand sanitation stations popping up, and reports of an informal “no handshake” policy.

Word is starting to spread as fast as the virus as people are urging everyone to take simple precautionary measures to keep it from getting worse.

But according to at least one “expert,” that might not be enough:

Wash thoroughly people!
