Going where few politicians have the courage to go, Poland Interior Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said the deadly attack in Nice, France, was the result of “decades of multiculturalism and political correctness.”
“Have we not learned lessons from previous attacks in Paris and Brussels?” Blaszczak asked during an interview with Polish news channel Polsat News. “This is a consequence of the policy of multicultural politics and political correctness.”
In a message to the world that sounds as if it was tailor-made for President Barack Obama, Blaszczak said Poland “will not be intimidated” and explained how to counter Islamic extremism, the Daily Express reported.
“We must reject political correctness and call things by their true names,” he said. “Rather than shedding tears like [European Union foreign policy chief Federica] Mogherini and … organizing marches that solve nothing, authorities should ensure the safety of citizens.”
Blaszczak was referring to Mogherini fighting back tears at a news conference after the Islamic terrorist attack in Brussels that killed at least 32 and injured more than 270 others.
Poland responded to the Brussels attack by closing its borders to the Muslim migrants that have overrun Europe.
“I do not see it possible to allow migrants in Poland at the moment,” Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo said at the time.
Blaszczak told Polsat News the Nice attack which claimed the lives of at least 84 people, including many children, is the end result of years of liberal policy.
“This is how it ends.,” he said, adding that “Europe will soon be lost to political correctness.”
And Blaszczak made it clear that his country does not prescribe to the liberal orthodoxy that governs much of Europe.
‘We don’t have such problems,” he said. “We don’t have districts where law other than Polish law reigns. We don’t have no-go zones for police.”
They also don’t have attacks by Muslim extremists.
