The partial release of the Orlando terrorist’s 911 call by the Obama administration is a bigger deal than you might think.
If the manipulated transcript first revealed to the public taught us anything, it’s that “integrity” means nothing to D.C. power players.
Fox News’ Chief Intelligence Correspondent Catherine Herridge joined “On the Record” with Greta Van Susteren to get to the bottom of why the DOJ withheld part of nightclub-terrorist Omar Mateen’s 911 call from the public and perhaps more importantly, discussed what it means for the future.
Herridge said the highly edited, partial transcript initially released to the public “really raises a question about the integrity of the evidence.” Something that according to a former FBI source, had always been a top priority of FBI director James Comey.
“This person said to me that they’ve always known FBI Director James Comey to be someone who is really solid on the importance of the integrity of the evidence,” Herridge said.
Herridge’s source told her that in 20 plus years, they had never seen something like this before and it “raises a lot of questions.”
Herridge added the transcript tampering raises more questions as to the “approach and attitude of the Justice Department and the FBI to other ongoing investigations.”
Investigations like Hillary’s emails, perhaps? This comes at a time when internal strife between the State Department and FBI has appeared to be ongoing in regard to the tediously slow investigation of Hillary’s emails.
A clearly disturbed Herridge concluded, it “really raises questions about that attitude of the sanctity of this evidence in a future prosecution.”
Basically, everything is political and “integrity” has gone out the proverbial window. Unless our current climate changes quickly we can kiss any hope for true justice “goodbye.”
Insiders and Americans alike have been hanging their hats on James Comey’s reputation for not playing along with White House politics when it come to the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
This latest charade puts those hopes in jeopardy.
