In what may be the least dramatic aspect of the whole sordid affair…

The manhunt for a hot Texas middle school teacher accused of sexually abusing a student came to an abrupt end when she turned herself in to authorities.

Alexandria Vera, an English teacher at Aldine ISD’s Stovall Middle School, turned herself in at the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe, which is just north of Houston, WPVI-TV reported.

Bond has been set at $100,000.

Vera, 24, is charged with continuous sexual abuse of a child after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old boy who was a student in her 8th grade English class in summer school, according to the ABC affiliate.

The teacher says they’re in love and that the student’s family, having met her, is aware and accepting of the relationship, according to court documents.

Adding to the drama, the documents also show that Vera allegedly became pregnant with the 13-year-old’s baby in January.

“But after an unexpected visit to the school by Child Protective Services in February, when Vera and the boy were questioned about their relationship, she reportedly became nervous and terminated the pregnancy,” WPVI-TV reported.
