A recent photo by fitness blogger Anna Victoria caused an internet frenzy for what it unexpectedly revealed.

The fitness star and co-founder of The Fit Body Guides is known for her seemingly flawless body, which she rocks in photos shared with nearly a million followers on her Instagram account.

But on May 22, Victoria posted side by side pre-wedding photos of herself that proved things are not always what they seem. The first photo showed Victoria’s 125-pound, toned body and the second one, taken moments later, shows the 27 year-old sitting with stomach rolls.

“Someone recently said to me that we all have our good angles and we all have our bad angles,” she captioned the post, “so why do we let our bad angles carry so much more weight than our good angles? If you focus on how bad you look in the bad angles, at least focus on how good you look in the good ones too!!”

“As my social media presence has grown, I have seen countless comments from girls saying things like, ‘goals’ and ‘I wish my stomach looked like that,’ but I really know that it is just a pose. I don’t walk around like that,” Victoria told Us Magazine. “I, too, have felt discouraged when I see pictures of other fitness models who have perfects abs both standing and sitting. … I have wondered why I look different or what I’m doing wrong, when really it’s just that my body holds fat differently than theirs does.”

The trainer’s post has garnered over 61,000 likes and sparked nearly 5,000 comments.

“Love this, finally an honest post!!! the right pic still doesn’t change the fact that you’re fit and healthy. Thank you for sharing,” wrote one Instagram user. “This makes me feel better!” wrote another. The responses were not all positive, however.

“One person wrote a comment saying ‘Oh, I feel bad for you, said no one ever,’ Victoria told Us. “The other negative comments have been along the lines of saying that my ‘bad’ side is nothing to complain about.”

Victoria said she was not complaining, adding  “I’m here saying this is my insecurity. I hope it inspires other women to face their insecurities and overcome them.”
