MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski thinks the Democratic Party’s treatment of presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is unfair and that its chairwoman should step down.
Brzezinski criticized the Party and called on Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz to resign on Wednesday’s edition of “Morning Joe.”
“This has been very poorly handled from the start,” the liberal co-host said, in response to a video of Wasserman Schultz. “It has been unfair and they haven’t taken him seriously, and it starts quite frankly with the person we just heard speaking. It just does. You know that.”
“Why would Bernie Sanders politely get in line for the Democratic Party?” asked co-host Joe Scarborough. “Because Hillary Clinton‘s people said so,” Brzezinski said, in reply.
“I sure wouldn’t,” Scarborough continued as Brzezinski cut in, saying “She should step down.”
“If the party I was a member of treated me like this, rigged the debate process,” Scarborough said, “I’d say go straight to hell, I’m running as an independent.”
“She should step down,” Brzezinski repeated.
