It’s always good to look on the bright side, no matter what the circumstances.

That’s what one family did when a beloved 68-year-old woman and grandmother to 10 children passed on to new life over the weekend.  In an obituary that may irk some, and certainly resonate with others, a politically charged message took a swipe at both presumptive presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

“Faced with the prospect of voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Mary Anne Noland of Richmond chose, instead, to pass into the eternal love of God on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the age of 68,” the Richmond Times-Dispatch obituary began.

That was the only reference to politics in Noland’s obituary that went on to name her extensive family.  But for many Americans, as far this year’s elections go, that’s all that needed to be said.

RIP Mary Anne Noland.
