It was the pot calling the kettle black.

Harry Reid blew a gasket Monday over a comment a fellow senator had made on Friday.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, contemplated the FBI leaking details of its investigation into the use of Hillary Clinton’s personal email server in the event Democrats attempt to interfere.

The Iowa Republican made his musings at a Des Moines Rotarian meeting Friday.

Reid fired off this tweet in response:

Seriously? After contemplating such a move by the FBI, Grassley said he couldn’t recommend it because he considered it illegal.

“I wouldn’t be encouraging it because if it’s a violation of law, I can’t be encouraging a violation of law,” he said. “This is kind of my own opinion, this is something I’ve heard.”

Apparently the Nevada Democrat didn’t catch that part of Grassley’s comments, and folks on social media thought Reid’s hissey-fit was rich considering the source.

But Reid wasn’t finished. He also took his complaint to the Senate floor Monday and claimed that Grassley had “encouraged the FBI” to leak details of its criminal investigation into Clinton to the public.
