Sean Hannity is on a partial social media ‘timeout.’

The Fox News host had the Twitter application removed from his phone by colleague Dana Perino, Hannity revealed on-air during the Wisconsin primary coverage Tuesday.

“She’s mad because — I unload,” he said.

In a Twitter post of her own, Perino confirmed Hannity’s words.

Perino likely acted in response to the heated debate between Hannity and ex-Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields that unfolded on Twitter Monday night.

Fields slammed her “friend” Hannity in a Twitter post as Fox aired a one-hour interview he conducted with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Fields called out Hannity for not challenging Trump on campaign manager Corey Lewandowski who was charged with committing simple battery against Fields at a news conference last month.

Hannity responded on Twitter by telling Fields he did not see what she alleged happened in the released surveillance video.

Before release of the video, Lewandowski claimed he never even touched Fields and Trump suggested she had made the story up. Fields said that though the GOP front-runner changed his story after release of video footage, Hannity never challenged him on it and even allowed Trump to question her character.

Police investigated death threats sent to Fields this week that threatened to slay her if she did not drop the charges against Lewandowski.

Fields concluded her responses to Hannity with a final message.

The Twitter exchanges set off a social media brawl of sorts as reactions poured in, defending and slamming those involved. Notably, conservative actors Adam Baldwin and Nick Searcy blasted Hannity for siding with Trump and not defending Fields.

Though no responses were apparent yet from Hannity, the Fox host has been drawing negative attention in the past weeks for using inappropriate language in his tweets, calling critics “assholes.”
