Love him or hate him, there’s not much middle ground when it comes to Donald Trump and this has made for some contentious moments on cable television news this election cycle.

The latest example of this was seen Wednesday on CNN when a pair of talking heads clashed over the ongoing controversy involving Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski being charged with battery for allegedly assaulting a female reporter.

Trump supporter Kayleigh McEnany was defending Lewandowski when she was called out by fellow panelist Tara Setmayer and things went to hell in a hurry.

“[I]‘m quite frankly ashamed that women who are journalists would go out and presume this man guilty in the court of public opinion,” McEnany said.

Setmayer jumped in to lambaste her colleague, saying she finds it “astonishing” that this is the first time McEnany’s ashamed, before rattling off a laundry list of offenses attributed to the GOP presidential front-runner and ripping McEnany for “defending the indefensible.”

“Tara! Tara! Please stop!” McEnany said as the discussion went off the rails. “I’m tired of people putting words into my mouth.”
