Cuba’s President Raul Castro denied having political prisoners in his country when questioned during a press conference on Monday.
“What political prisoners? Give me a name or names,” Castro said when questioned by CNN’s Jim Acosta. “After this meeting is over, you can give me a list of political prisoners, and if we have those political prisoners, they will be released before tonight ends.”
Raul Castro erupted when @Acosta asked about Cuban political prisoners. “Show me the list! What political prisoners? Give me a name!”

So Raul Castro tells @Acosta there are no political prisoners in Cuba, given a list, he’d release them tonight. Okay…

WOW: 1) CNN asks Raul Castro why he’s keeping political prisoners and 2) Castro, pissed, says give him a list and he’ll release em tonight

President Obama even told ABC News that he would not be giving Castro any list of prisoners as he seeks to normalize relations between the U.S. and Cuba.

But if it was a list Castro wanted, it’s a list that he got: CBS’s Mark Knoller and Univision’s Jorge Ramos delivered.
Castro says if reporter can provide list of political prisoners in Cuba, they will be released before the night ends.

@jorgeramosnews @billpostmus would have made more sense to give list BEFORE lifting sanctions- what a disgraceful end to his presidency

Those aren’t political prisoners. They are just undocumented Republicans. Obama is going to recommend audits. @jorgeramosnews
